I started working with watercolours in December 2020 as an avenue for creative self-expression. Over time, the brush and paint have become an extension of me, enabling me to slow down and be mindful, inspiring me to paint the world around me. Watercolours have taught me self-compassion, helped me release the need for perfection, to cultivate a sense of wonder, enabled me to appreciate beauty in the ordinary, and to challenge myself to grow in ways I didn't know before. It was the permission slip I didn't know I needed - to break conventional rules, to surrender to and trust the process and to accept all forms of expression - be it figures, still life, landscapes or even abstracts, with kindness and grace.
